Come suona la tangenziale est di Roma? Qual’è il colore dominante delle isole Eolie? Con gli strumenti essenziali per registrare un mini-concept album e i mezzi utili per realizzare un diario quotidiano illustrato (da esporre di giorno in giorno) durante la sua permanenza nell’isola di Salina, Francesco Rita realizza due progetti: APPARTENENDOCI e ISOLANDOMI. L’auspicio è che questo stravagante impegno artistico produca sopratutto una profonda contaminazione stilistica e che questi due emisferi si contaminino a vicenda: entrambi al servizio delle finalità del progetto, entrambi per enfatizzare il senso di condivisione e quello di solitudine. Isolandomi è un diario giornaliero di 14 illustrazioni accompagnate tutte da una strofa (rigorosamente di sette righe) sul concetto di isola e di allontanamento, dalle fragili certezze di un’educazione consumistica e dalle assurde abitudini dei sapiens di città. Uno sguardo fresco e forse ingenuo su quella realtà che non posso conoscere, la scoperta progressiva di un mondo profondamente lontano dal mio. Appartenendoci è un EP (prodotto da Vasco Maria Livio) di 4 / 5 brani. Ogni brano è una piccola dedica romantica ad una delle strade più brutte - eppure profondamente mistiche - della Roma contemporanea. La strada che, dal caos della metropoli più attiva e confusionaria, mi porta dove un parco sconfinato, un manicomio abbandonato e un osservatorio hanno saputo alleviare i dolori della frenetica vita moderna.

How does the East Ring Road of Rome sound? What is the dominant color of the Aeolian Islands? With the essential tools to record a mini-concept album and the means to create an illustrated daily diary (to be displayed day by day) during his stay on the island of Salina, Francesco Rita developed two projects: APPARTENENDOCI and ISOLANDOMI. The hope is that this extravagant artistic commitment will primarily produce a deep stylistic contamination, and that these two hemispheres will contaminate each other: both serving the project's goals, both emphasizing the sense of sharing and that of solitude. ISOLANDOMI is a daily diary of 14 illustrations, each accompanied by a verse (strictly seven lines) on the concept of island and detachment, from the fragile certainties of a consumeristic education and the absurd habits of city sapiens. A fresh and perhaps naive perspective on that reality I cannot know, the gradual discovery of a world deeply distant from my own. APPARTENENDOCI is an EP (produced by Vasco Maria Livio) of 4/5 tracks. Each track is a small romantic dedication to one of the ugliest - yet deeply mystical - streets of contemporary Rome. The street that, from the chaos of the busiest and most confusing metropolis, takes me to where an endless park, an abandoned asylum, and an observatory have been able to alleviate the pains of modern, frantic life.
