Il libro d'artista Impressioni di Salina è stato realizzato da Francesca Balducci (illustratrice romana) e Brunella Greco (scrittrice romana) nel giugno 2017 durante la loro residenza da amaneï. Il progetto raccoglie le tracce emotive che hanno segnato il viaggio nell’isola di Salina e restituisce l'esperienza artistica di un incontro tra due linguaggi diversi: l’illustrazione e la scrittura. Il libro è un contenitore di impronte, da riconoscere o reinterpretare per ricordare o rinnovare ciascuno la propria esperienza di viaggio. La memoria è un avvenimento sempre nuovo, un itinerario che non è mai come ci si aspetta. In nessun luogo è dato riandare in modo identico. Seguire le orme che Salina ha lasciato in questo libro è da intendersi in questo caso un atto di libertà. Semi e al tempo stesso incognite, gli indizi possono essere ricombinati nella loro sequenza di fruizione, e non sapremo mai quanti e quali frutti produrranno. Impressioni, stampate sulla lastra imperfetta dell’anima; memoria che genera altra memoria; segni che rimandano ad altri segni, tracce e punti distanti di una mappa da riorganizzare a piacimento. The artist's book Impressioni di Salina was created by Francesca Balducci (a Roman illustrator) and Brunella Greco (a Roman writer) in June 2017 during their residency at amaneï. The project gathers the emotional traces that marked their journey on the island of Salina, offering an artistic experience born from the encounter of two different languages: illustration and writing.

The book is a container of imprints, to be recognized or reinterpreted, to remember or renew one’s own travel experience. Memory is always a new event, an itinerary that never unfolds as expected. No place can ever be revisited in exactly the same way.

Following the footprints that Salina has left in this book is, in this case, an act of freedom. Like seeds and at the same time unknowns, the clues can be rearranged in their sequence of perception, and we will never know how many or what kind of fruits they will produce.

Impressions, printed on the imperfect plate of the soul; memory that generates more memory; signs that lead to other signs, traces and distant points of a map to be rearranged at will. How many geographies exist?
