"Água Doce, Água Salgada" (Sweet Water, Salty Water) è un progetto che esplora il profondo legame tra l’acqua e la vita umana, collegando le acque atlantiche del fiume Paiva in Portogallo, alle onde del Rincón de Paiva nel nord dell’Uruguay, e alle onde mediterranee di Salina, attraverso cicli di residenze artistiche.

Questo scambio culturale mette in dialogo territori e comunità in Europa e Sud America, focalizzandosi sull’intricato intreccio tra acqua e cultura. L’acqua, tema centrale dell’iniziativa, rappresenta il movimento costante delle comunità lungo fiumi e mari, le influenze culturali che attraversano i territori e i modi unici in cui le persone interagiscono con questo elemento essenziale.

Questo progetto è una collaborazione tra Amaneï, Binaural Nodar e Mapa Sonoro de Uruguay, con il supporto dei comuni di Santa Marina Salina (IT) e Castro Daire (PT).

Água Doce, Água Salgada (Sweet Water, Salty Water) is a project that explores the deep connection between water and human life, linking the Atlantic waters of the Paiva River in Portugal to the waves of Rincón de Paiva in northern Uruguay and the Mediterranean tides of Salina through a cycle of artistic residencies.

This cultural exchange creates a dialogue between territories and communities in Europe and South America, focusing on the intricate relationship between water and culture.
